Laboring With Christ
Acts 1:8; 2 Corinthians 5:18; Luke 10:2

1 Corinthians 3:9 "For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building."" Every Believer is a branch of the Vine (John 15: 1-3). We are as much one with Jesus Christ as the branch is one with the vine. We are together with Him in the business of harvesting souls. We are co-labourers together with Christ. What a privilege! What a prestige! In the world, who you work with or for determines your social class and standard of living. Your remuneration depends on who your employer is. God has called us into the best employment ever – the business of reaping the world for Jesus. Nothing can be more honourable. Nothing can be more rewarding. The Word declares: "…..And, The labourer is worthy of his reward"" (1 Tim 5:18). Countless thousands are jobless because they have not yet identified the biggest Employer of labour. God is the biggest Employer of labour. The preaching of the Gospel is the biggest employment under heaven. You cannot be jobless preaching the Gospel. There are more rewarding ventures in preaching the Gospel than you can be engaged with in a lifetime. Rewards for preaching the Gospel are both for the now and for eternity (Mark 10:28-30). Beloved, get involved in this noble ministry of reaping souls for the Lord through the preaching of God's Word. We are labourers together with our Lord Jesus Christ. Don't stand aloof; be involved! The harvest is ripe, but the labourers are few. Be part of the few labourers making their marks for Jesus. Amen.
