Righteousness By Faith

RIGHTEOUSNESS BY FAITH

Rom 9:30-32
30 What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, a righteousness that is by faith; 31 but Israel, who pursued a law of righteousness, has not attained it. 32 Why not? Because they pursued it not by faith but as if it were by works. They stumbled over the "stumbling stone."

Righteousness that comes by faith in Christ Jesus is the righteousness that is true and valid in the kingdom of God. This righteousness is not a function of the works of man but the grace of God that comes through faith (see Eph 2:8).

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God (see Rom 10:17). When you believe the word of God you hear, it produces faith in you and this faith produces righteousness. For instance, when you hear the word that tells you it is God who gives you the power to get wealth (see Deut 8:18), if you believe it, you will not compromise your faith or dirty your hands just to get wealth, the word you have believed has birthed a faith in you producing righteousness that keeps you from covetousness and greed. This righteousness is superior to the type you try to achieve by mere laws of works.

Go into today determined to walk in faith by believing only God’s word concerning your situation. His thoughts for you are always good and never evil (see Jer 29:11)

Prayer: thank you heavenly father for your word today. I pray that you help me always agree with your truth concerning every aspect of my life, In Jesus name I pray. Amen
