Stand In The Gap
Ezekiel 22:30; James 5:16
1 Timothy 2:1 "I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men."" The prayer of intercession entails standing in the gap as a mediator or a go-between. It is taking the place of another in prayer, who for one reason or the other does not have a privileged standing before God. Simply put, "it is being your brother's keeper in prayer"". Unbelievers do not have any standing before God. Why? This is because they have not yet received Jesus Christ; God's provision for right standing before God. However, Believers can pray for them and for their salvation through the prayer of intercession. We can stand in the gap for them. We can bring them before God and bring God to them through the ministry of intercessory prayers. Beloved, there is so much need for intercessory prayers in this dispensation than never before in history. Believers need to stand in the gap for this dying world as priests of the Most High God. Through intercession, we can change the course of history and chart a new one for all and sundry to follow and enjoy. Through intercession, we can renegotiate the destinies of nations and redefine their experiences.
Other Scriptures for Meditation: Genesis 18:22- 33; Isaiah 59:16
My Solid Front (Confession)
In the Name of Jesus, I take my place as a priest standing in the gap for people for this dying world, changing the course of history and charting a new one. Amen.
